March 23, 2015—Smart Skin Technologies is pleased to announce its finalist position in the Best food Manufacturing or Processing Innovation award from FoodBev Media’s 2015 World Food Innovation Awards.
FoodBev Media has gained a reputation for organising successful international awards galas in the beverage and dairy industries – most notably, the World Beverage Innovation Awards and the World Dairy Innovation Awards.
The expert judging panel analysed over 340 entries from 30 countries in 16 categories. This was the first year the event has been held at IFE in London. Almost 30,000 people attended the biannual event which ranks itself as one of the biggest finished product food and beverage trade shows in Europe.
IFE (International Food and Drink Event) has been the UK’s largest and most respected food and drink trade event since 1979.
The Quantifeel System is the most advanced pressure sensor technology in the food and beverage packaging industry. Smart Skin Technologies takes great pride in the product and their customers’ success with the Quantifeel System.
The other finalist in the Best Food Manufacturing or Processing Innovation category was Systems AB for their Food Radar system. Their product is a non-invasive system capable of detecting foreign bodies in food. The winner of the category was OAL Group for their Steam Infusion solution. Steam Infusion is a new low risk cooking process that heats, mixes and cooks liquid based food products.
